Erie County Federation of Republican Women

$500 Scholarship Award

The Erie County Federation of Republican Women is currently accepting applications for a $500 scholarship.    Application submissions will include a short essay on the applicant’s educational objectives and how being a Republican has influenced the life of the applicant.

Applicants must be female Erie County residents, high school seniors accepted to an accredited university, college, community college or trade school; or a continuing university, college, community college or trade school student currently enrolled and in good scholastic standing; or a post-high school adult accepted to an accredited university, college, community college or trade school; and a registered Republican with the Erie County Board of Elections.

 

Those interested in applying can visit www.ECFRW.com to access the application packet which will contain guidelines and requirements.   Submissions are by mail only and must be received OR postmarked by April 15th:  ECFRW, PO Box 293, Buffalo NY 14240.

Eligibility Requirements (must meet all requirements):  

  1. Erie County resident;

  2. Female;

  3. A high school senior accepted to an accredited university, college, community college or trade school; or a continuing university, college, community college or trade school student currently enrolled and in good scholastic standing; or a post-high school adult accepted to an accredited university, college, community college or trade school; and

  4. A registered Republican.

 

 

To apply, please submit the following:

  • Completed application;

  • Most recent school transcripts;

  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor, employer or community leader; and

  • Short, typed essay on your educational objectives, and how being a Republican has influenced your life. 

 

DEADLINE:  APRIL 15th

The Scholarship will be awarded at the

ECFRW Spring Fling on a date to be determined.
